Lynn is Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company, where she founded the firm’s first practice area dedicated to social impact work more than 20 years ago. Lynn works with leading philanthropists, nonprofits and corporations around the world on strategy, organization and advocacy, often helping clients create new social impact organizations. She helped design and launch the Obama Foundation, serving as its first Chief Program Officer, and she is a founding board member of Malala Yousafzai’s nonprofit, Malala Fund, which advocates for girls' education around the world. Lynn also serves on the boards of change.org, the world's largest petition platform, and water.org, a nonprofit founded by Gary White and Matt Damon that pioneered the use of WaterCredit to make water and sanitation solutions affordable for all. Lynn also led much of McKinsey's foundational research on the social sector, including the seminal report, And the Winner is... on how to design prizes that work. She has a B.A. from Yale University and a Master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. She spent 4 years in McKinsey’s Mexico City Office and is fluent in Spanish. Lynn and her husband Michael Warren have two kids, Amelia and Noah, and live in Washington, D.C.
