Executive Summary
The dangerous buildup of greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere threatens the delicate balance upon which all life depends. Cutting edge science indicates that only an unprecedented global tree-planting effort offers hope to restore nature’s vital carbon sinks before it is too late.
Trillion Tree Global Network's project partners and allies have achieved major progress toward this goal by planting billions of trees in thousands of locally-led efforts, measurably improving local lives and environments while contributing to global wellbeing. But those efforts have fallen short of reaching a scale sizable enough to reverse the climate crisis.
To rapidly expand these proven climate solutions and avert a global climate disaster, the Trillion Tree Global Network will deploy direct action and peer-to-peer platform building to mobilize a historic, citizen-led, global tree-planting movement. Together we will plant a trillion trees to save the planet by 2030.

Accomplishments
Plant-for-the-Planet, the lead organization in the Trillion Tree Global Network, developed and runs the Plant-for-the-Planet App, a unique platform that—without commissions—matches tree planting projects and donors. The app facilitates the goal of its network of children, youth, and Climate Justice Ambassadors to reach climate justice by planting one trillion trees worldwide by 2030.
Plant-for-the-Planet's/Trillion Tree's reforestation project in Mexico employs more than 100 people from local communities and has restored more than 22,500 hectares—55,600 acres—of degraded forest areas. Furthermore, Plant-for-the-Planet continues to empower children and youth worldwide to promote reforestation and climate justice.
