Executive Summary

The Living Archive will elevate the role that women of color play in shaping culture and establishing standards for equality and justice. As a dynamic, evolving repository and community of practice, the Living Archive captures the depth and breadth of the history, lives, and dreams of women of color through stories, research, and the amplification of our voices. The Living Archive will develop a pipeline of civically engaged women of color equipped with critical skills, platforms for content distribution, media sophistication and access, and large influential networks. We will increase the power and influence of women of color by building skills and community to influence the public narrative and heighten the value attributed to our power and agenda, fast-tracking us into leadership roles and visibility across sectors, and leveraging media to expand our power as a multi-racial political force. When women of color define the terms around shaping narrative, equality transpires.
