We have two challenge models that can help catalyze giving and build new program areas:
- Our classic challenge model awards at least one grant of U.S. $10 million and is designed to scale a solution to a particular problem.
- Our field building challenge model awards a minimum of U.S. $20 million total in general operating support to a cohort of catalytic organizations within a specific field or geography. This service helps donors develop a robust pipeline of grantees to support a functional program in approximately a year, for 15-25 percent of the cost of standing up a new program at a traditional foundation.
