Executive Summary
Over the next ten years, the IAC will leverage its resources and those of national partners and WK Kellogg Foundation to: 1) build a sustainable finance model to fund Native food and agriculture; 2) grow the IAC American Indian Foods program to increase recognition of and open markets for Native products worldwide; 3) significantly increase the capacity of the IAC Technical Assistance Network to achieve greater reach and serve at least 10,000 food producers annually; 4) equip the IAC Natural Resources program with resources needed to achieve conservation and regenerative goals across all IAC regions; 5) fully resource the Agricultural Leadership Program to formalize a national structure for supporting Native American careers in food and agriculture; 6) through IAC’s Policy and Government Relations program, establish Native agriculture representation at all DC and national agriculture policy events and transform relationships between Tribes and governmental agencies.
