Executive Summary

Rarely are families and communities involved in designing solutions for the development and well-being of children.

PlayItForward empowers 20,000 local stakeholders to co-develop playful and inclusive solutions for 200,000 disadvantaged children by establishing a global network of community-led ECD innovation labs across India, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Portugal, Tanzania, Tajikistan, and Uganda; translating the Nurturing Care Framework into action.

Intended Outcomes:

- Equip 20,000 local innovators across multiple sectors with competencies and resources to create 1,000+ new solutions for 200,000 children;

- Establish 400 community-led ECD innovation labs across eight countries as a global network for advancing locally-led, scalable ECD solutions;

- Support eight national governments with new evidence about how to design, sustain, and scale community-led ECD solutions, benefiting millions of children.

Impact: Children from disadvantaged families have the best start in life to become creative, inclusive, socially engaged, and playful lifelong learners.
