Launched on October 13, 2020, Racial Equity 2030 will award $90 million to fund bold solutions to drive an equitable future for children, families, and communities across the globe. Hosted by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the challenge will invite, build and scale ideas for transformative change in the social, economic, political and institutional systems that uphold inequities. Launched on June 16, 2020, the Equality Can’t Wait Challenge will award $40 million to help expand women’s power and influence in the United States by 2030. Hosted by Pivotal Ventures, the investment and incubation company created by Melinda Gates, with additional support from MacKenzie Scott and the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, the Challenge seeks to accelerate the pace of progress for more women of all backgrounds to be in positions to make decisions, control resources, and shape policies and perspectives in their homes, workplaces, and communities – because equality can’t wait. On April 29, 2020, the 2030 Climate Challenge launched, awarding $10 million to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the buildings, industry, and/or transportation sectors in the U.S. by 2030. The registration period is now closed.

Launched on January 29, 2020, the Larsen Lam ICONIQ Impact Award is a $12 million global competition to fund a solution that secures a brighter, more durable future for refugees. The registration period is now closed.
Launched on October 15, 2019, the Economic Opportunity Challenge will award $10 million to scale a game-changing solution to improve the economic health of low-income families in the U.S. The application period is now closed, and finalists have been selected.
On August 6, 2020, the Pritzker Traubert Foundation (PTF) announced that Always Growing, Auburn Gresham was awarded the Chicago Prize, PTF’s $10 million grant competition that sought to invest in collaborative initiatives using physical development to spur economic activity, strengthen civic infrastructure, and improve the safety, well-being, and economic mobility of residents in the city’s South and/or West sides. PTF also committed an additional $2.5 million in development funds accessible to the other finalist teams.
On April 30, 2019, MacArthur launched the second round of 100&Change, its global competition for a $100 million grant to fund a single proposal that promises real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of our time. Bold Solutions Network
Lever for Change launched the Bold Solutions Network as a vital component of its mission to accelerate social change and help philanthropists overcome the challenges that often prevent them from achieving their philanthropic ambitions. The Bold Solutions Network website is a searchable online collection of summaries of highly-rated, rigorously evaluated proposals or, “bold solutions,” that emerge from open competitions managed by Lever for Change.
Through the Bold Solutions Network, Lever for Change is building a pipeline of organizations ready to accelerate social change and matching those organizations with philanthropists. For participating organizations, the Bold Solutions Network offers ongoing learning and networking opportunities to strengthen the impact of their work, raise their visibility and increase their potential to secure additional funding.Bold Solutions Network
